This software has the ability to visually display and change parameters for nine distributions. This is very helpful for understanding what a distribution looks like and how the shape changes as you change parameters. There are three discrete distributions and six continuous distributions.

The example below shows the output of this feature for the normal distribution. You can change the values and update the distribution to see what happens as the average and/or standard deviation change. You can also change the values of X1 and X2 so the shaded area will change. Both the probability density function and the cumulative distribution function are included.
