Seminars/On-site Training

Our Improving Processes with People and Statistics seminars are designed for manufacturing, service and non-profit organizations. We tailor the seminar to fit the type of organization with which we are working. The three major seminars are described below.

IPPS Awareness (click here for more detail)

The IPPS Awareness seminar is a unique 2.5 day overview to the process and the people skills necessary for successful process improvement. This seminar is designed to be given to all associates. The seminar topics include variation and the basic statistical process control (SPC) tools. It makes SPC fun to learn! Attendees learn how to use process flow diagrams, Pareto diagrams, and cause and effect diagrams. They also learn to recognize histograms and how to interpret control charts. The people tools taught include motivation, teamwork, consensus decision-making and social styles.

IPPS Facilitator (click here for more detail)

This seminar is for those associates who are responsible for implementing process improvement in their area and for leading or overseeing process improvement project teams. Usually, at least one associate from each department is trained as a facilitator. This is a six to eight day seminar that can be spread over two months. It includes the software SPC for Excel. The objective of the seminar is to teach participants the technical and people skills required to successfully improve processes. This seminar is built around the five-step process management model with a major focus on SPC.
