Why do I need the
process improvement training modules in PowerPoint?
Employees in all kinds of organizations use SPC
for process improvement on a
regular basis. Only a few, though, really understand the
methods. Many of us want to steer away from all that
"technical stuff." Yet, it has been proven
over and over that when we understand why we are doing what we
do, we become more effective. This is why we created the
Improving Process with People and Statistics Training Modules in PowerPoint. This is an easy, fun
and economical way to teach process improvement to everyone!

How can I use PowerPoint
training Modules?
There are several ways you can use these modules. You
can use the modules as independent study. Simply get the
modules you need and work through them page by page, on your
computer or in a printed version, at your own pace and at your
convenience. You can also use these modules if you want
to teach SPC to others. Select only the modules you want.
How can I customize these modules?
The PowerPoint modules can be customized to meet
your company's needs. Often, companies like to include
their own examples in training. You can add or delete
slides. There are no restrictions on how you can edit
the presentation.
What will we learn?
You will learn how to quickly identify which SPC tool to
use and when to use them. You will develop an understanding of
the different SPC techniques, how they work, how to do the
math (in simple terms), and how to analyze the data so
appropriate actions can be taken. You will understand
the concept of variation and how important this concept is in
improving processes.
What training modules are
available?
We have a complete package of the most commonly used SPC
tools as well as problem solving and team/people skills modules.
Our list includes:
SPC Modules
For detailed information on the contents of each module and
the cost, click on the module above. Most modules are
$29.00. If you are using the modules for training think
about how much time you would have to spend to create one
module. It is estimated that it takes 8 to 24 hours to
develop one hour of training.
Can I see an example of these
modules for free?
Yes.
You can download the module “Types of Data” for
free. This module covers what attributes data are, what operational definitions
are, what variables data are and introduces the average and
standard deviation. This is a short module that will
help you understand what the modules look like.
Do I need to buy all modules?
No. You
can buy one, two, or as many you need. Of course, all the modules
together help provide a deeper understanding of SPC. You
can purchase all the modules at a significant discount.
The whole package costs less than sending one person to most
SPC training courses!
What if I want a module that is not
listed?
Give us a call or send us an e-mail. In most cases,
we can develop a module to meet your needs.
When are new modules added?
We are adding new modules on a regular basis. If you
want to be notified when new modules are available, we will
send you an e-mail. If you purchased all the modules,
these new modules will be available to you at a significant
discount.
Are the graphic design of the
modules the same?
No. Learning increases dramatically with relevant
variation. This is why each module is developed utilizing
a different PowerPoint graphic design that helps emphasize the
topic.
Are the modules in color?
Yes. All the modules are in color and include a variety of
pictures, graphs and illustrations to increase learning.
This allows you to teach to both sides of the brain which is
essential to effectively teach any subject (see the sidebar
"Did You Know?").
Can I use the
training anywhere?
These modules can only be used for the
location/organization it was bought for. If other locations
(such as a sister plant) or another organization would like to
use the training modules, they need to purchase their own
modules. They may also want to customize the modules
with their own examples.
