      Hello Erick,
      Thanks for the comments. I did a very poor job of explaining that in the newsletter. I rewrote it make it clearer;

      The total row uses the total for each survey. For example, the total for the first row in Table 1 is 1+1+2+4 = 8. This is the total for survey 1. The total mean is the average of the totals for each survey and the standard deviation is the standard deviation of the totals for each survey.”
